Gals for Cal

The Gals for Cal is a group of women, connected through friendship, competing in triathlons, dualthons, and road races to raise awareness and funds to fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) in honor of a now 8 year old boy named Calvin, a boy, now 8 years old, affected by DMD.

The first Gals For Cal Triathlon team was formed in 2009, when 21 women raised over $25,000 to support DMD research for the fight against DMD. For many of the Gals, the 2009 Danskin Women’s Triathlon was their first triathlon. 2010 finds the Gals stronger – both mentally and physically – and ready to challenge themselves again.
