On Sunday, June 25, 2023, Team Jett assembled on Sandy Beach in Cohasset, Massachusetts to compete in the Cohasset Triathlon. Seven athletes completed all three legs of the triathlon (.25-mile swim, 14-mile bike, 3-mile run) to support families impacted by Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Each athlete fundraises to join Team Jett in support of Jett Foundation’s programs, services, and resources that assist individuals and families impacted by Duchenne. This year, athletes participating in the Cohasset Triathlon for Jett raised $6,630 and counting.
Jett Foundation is very thankful to Craig Martin and The Goodale Insurance Company for sponsoring this year’s team at the Cohasset Triathlon. Craig and Goodale Insurance include Jett Foundation in their annual #SaveToSupport campaign that aims to save customers money on insurance packages while the company gives back to multiple charities and organizations, such as Jett.
Craig shares, “I’ve been part of the Tri4Jett team since 2015, back when we did the Marshfield/Duxbury Tri. This was my 7th race with Team Jett and 5th time doing Cohasset. Every year, it’s a great reminder of how lucky I am that my body can do these types of things, and I love the opportunity to support the cause and the kids with Duchenne who have so many challenges in front of them. I’m already looking forward to next year and hoping to set another personal best!”
Team Jett’s top finisher in this year’s race was Ellen Hanson, who is the chair of Jett Foundation’s Board of Directors. Ellen finished with a total time of 1:20:05. Just behind Ellen was Ben Rosen, who finished with a time of 1:27:53. Complete race results can be found here.
