Individualized Education Programs (IEP) for Duchenne
An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a document that outlines the services and accommodations a child with physical, cognitive or other special needs requires to succeed in school. Even if your son with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) has not yet begun to manifest symptoms – or if symptoms are still slight – I would still recommend beginning the conversation with your school about an IEP.
